Detailed Travel Itinerary
Day 1 :Arrive Delhi
Arrive Delhi, Meeting and assistance on arrival. Transfer to hotel. After breakfast at hotel our local tour guide will take you on city tour of Delhi visiting Raj Ghat - the cremation sites of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk. After lunch visit Qutub Minar - highest Minaret in India built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibek in 1199 the founder of muslim empire in Delhi, Humayun's Tomb, India Gate (War Memorial Arch ), Also drive past President's House, Parliament House, Government Secretariat Buildings and Connaught Place shopping centre. Overnight Delhi.
Day 2 :Delhi - Agra (203 kms - 4 hrs) Taj Mahal remain Closed on Fridays
Breakfast at hotel and drive to Agra, arrival & our representative will assist your check into the hotel. After lunch proceed for half day guided tour of Agra visiting Red Fort of Agra which inhouses centuries old red sandstone buildings naming Pearl Mosque, the Halls of Public and Private Audience etc. Later visit the Tomb of Itmad-ud-Daullah built by Empress Noor jehan in memory of her father.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 : Agra - Jaipur (256 kms - 5/6 hrs)
Morning visit to one of the most beautiful monuments of the world the Taj Mahal built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his Queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Our tour guide will accompany you to narrate the stories associated with this architectural wonder. After lunch drive to Jaipur enroute visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri is 40 kms from Agra and built by Emperor Akbar in 1569 and abandoned after 15 years owing to water scarcity. See the graceful buildings including the Jama Masjid, Tomb of Salim Chisti, Panch Mahal and other Palaces. Day 4 : Jaipur
After breakfast local tour guide will take you on sight seeing of Jaipur. Visit Amber Fort which was ancient capital before foundation of modern city of jaipur by Maharaja Jai Singh about 260 years ago. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Jaipur - the capital of Rajasthan was given a colour coat of pink a century ago in honour of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this colour. Visit Maharaja's City Palace, the Observatory (Jantar Mantar) & Ram Niwas Gardens. Drive past Hawa Mahal & local markets with symmetry in architecture and uniform pink color. with tour of jaipur golden triangle part of your trip comes to end.
Day 5: Jaipur- Jodhpur (350 Km 6 hrs)
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur, the suncity or blue city of Rajasthan. Enroute Visit Pushkar known world wide for camel fair held here in the month of october - november. Pushkar is also famous for its Brahma temple and sacred lake. Arrival at Jodhpur and transfer to hotel. Evening visit to Mandore gardens - an ancient town before foundation of Jodhpur, here lies cenotaphs of royal family of Jodhpur. overnight at Jodhpur
Day 6 : Jodhpur to Jaisalmer (300 KM 5 Hrs)
Ater Breakfast half day guided city tour of Jodhpur visiting Ummed palace - beautiful palace built with yellow sandstone. The construction of palace was done as famine relief to people of Jodhpur and another unique feature is that palace has one single plan of architecture. Mehrangarh fort - one of the most magnificent fort of rajasthan constructed with red sandstone with very fine stone carving work. The ford affords elaborate view blue city of jodhpur and vast area surrounding it. Jaswant Thada is royal crematorium located just below Mehrangarh fort. After lunch drive to Jaisalmer the Golden city. Evening arrival and check in to your accommodation at desert camps. Take camel ride over vast sand dunes of indian desert. Day 7 : Jaisalmer
Take breakfast at your hotel and proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of The Golden City - Jaisalmer located in tne heart of the Great Indian Thar Desert. Most of the buildings here are built with yellow sandstone done with beautiful carving work. Visit the Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Fort owing to its golden color- The oldest living Fort in the world. (This is the highlight of the tour)
See the Patwon-Ki-Haveli - constructed by a famous trader Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons, the five-storied structure is the largest of its kind in Jaisalmer, Salim-Singh-Ki-Haveli - the elaborately chiseled brackets on its walls speak a lot about the love for intricacy and beauty among the artisans of those days and Gandhi Sagar Tank - once an important source of water supply for the city, it was a crucial reason which led prince Jaisal to settle here. Also visit Barabagh cluster of royal cenotaphs with rich stone carving work. Overnight at your hotel in Jaisalmer.
Day 8 : Jaisalmer to Bikaner (350 Km 6 Hrs)
Morning drive to Bikaner, another another desert town in Rajasthan. Check in to your hotel. Evening visit local markets, you can also enjoy traditional sweets for which Bikaner is much popular now a days. Overnight at Bikaner.
Day 9 : Bikaner to Mandawa
After breakfast set out on half day guided tour of Bikaner visiting ancient Junagarh fort and camel breeding farm. After lunch drive to Mandawa a feudal village in the desert popular for beautiful castle and havelis. Overnight stay at heritage hotel in Mandawa.
Day 10 : Mandawa to New Delhi
