About Sardargarh fort :The contours of the fort which is spread over three lacs square feet beautifully blend with those of the Aravalli hills. To the north of the fort, lies Manohar Sagar, a large lake which gets filled to the brim during monsoon. The gateways to the fort are massive reinforced marble structures built to withstand marauding armies, elephants and cannon volleys. These gateways are known as Pols. The Suraj Pol or Sun Gate is the main exterior gateway while Chand Pol or the Moon Gate is the interior one, located just opposite to it.
