About aranyawas : Resort is set in a wild, mountain valley, hidden away from the outside world. The natural terrain is formed of rugged mountainside with outcrops of rock and indigenous forest. The resort has orchards of guava, various types of mango, awla, cherry, lychee, lime, orange, pomegranate and chikoo trees. There are also apricots and figs, all of which thrive in the microclimate of the area, which is cooler than the lowlands and enjoys a summer maximum temperature of 30 degrees, though the winter nighttime temperature can drop to almost freezing point.
Accommodation : The resort offers Five double and two single cottages with a view of the valley and river. As befits a home in the depths of the countryside, rooms at aranyawas are decorated in the "Paysan" style, with gentle, rustic colours and simple, elegant decor.Every room is very spacious and no compromise has been made to comfort. Each room contains an en-suite bathroom and a walk-in dressing room along with tea-coffee maker. Each room also enjoys a glorious valley view; the cottages have the added benefit of a large covered balcony. The utter tranquility, other than birdsong during the day and the chirping of crickets by night, ensures a peaceful, relaxing stay.
Dining: Multicuisine Restaurant (seating up to a hundred people) at aranyawas offers a wide variety of vegetarian specialties, including regional 'Thali'(number of varieties of curries, chappatis, traditional sweets served in small bowls places in a plate (Thali). You may prefer to dine in the rooftop restaurant with its panoramic vistas, or in the privacy of your own terrace. Romantic tête-à-tête or a private meal in the shade of a huge Banyan tree is a unique experience here. Most relaxing of all, picnic can be arranged in a forest clearing or by the stream.
